Since time immemorial, people have created stories—folktales, legends, and myths—and through them deepened their understanding of the unknown that surrounds them. Though they felt awe, they also sensed mystery, recognized the sacred, and honored it; alongside those narratives, they built their image of the world. In other words, one could say the world begins with a story.
