Group Exhibition: SHIZENGAKU TSUBOMI – For the Aesthetics to Come

I participated in the exhibition “Shizengaku Tsubomi | SHIZENGAKU TSUBOMI – For the Aesthetics to Come (September 5–23, 2012)” held at Art Site Gallery as a related project of the collaborative promotion “Shizengaku | SHIZENGAKU – For the Aesthetics to Come” between Seian University of Art and Design and the Shiga Prefectural Museum of Modern Art in Shiga Prefecture. This show was organized around the theme of “nature.”

This exhibition was held concurrently as part of the collaborative promotion “Shizengaku | SHIZENGAKU – For the Aesthetics to Come” between Seian University of Art and Design and the Shiga Prefectural Museum of Modern Art.
“Shizengaku | SHIZENGAKU” is a project that, against the backdrop of contemporary global environmental issues and an interconnected global society, delves into the relationship between art and perceptions of nature in the 21st century and aims to construct a new aesthetics.
In this show, “Shizengaku Tsubomi | SHIZENGAKU TSUBOMI – For the Aesthetics to Come,” we exhibited works by current students and alumni of our university who approach “nature” from a variety of perspectives. Please enjoy each artist’s unique expression of how they perceive nature and transform it into their own creations.
