I held a solo exhibition titled “Prayer for the Remnants of Dreams (May 23–June 12, 2013)” at the Satellite Gallery of Aichi Prefectural University of the Arts in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. In this show, I presented a series of drawings accompanied by texts containing several short stories centered on the theme of reveries that emerge in daily life—or within society or various historical eras—only to collapse in an instant and become fragmented remnants.

−Artist Statement

Dreams sometimes envelop each era, society, or even myself. However, they do not last long. At a certain time—at a certain moment—they collapse. In doing so, these dreams turn into shattered remnants and vanish into history. I gather those vanished fragments and offer a prayer. For me, that act of gathering and praying is what creating art is all about.
