Scenery in Dim Light
Scenery in Dim Light refers to landscapes that exist at the threshold where different things intermingle: light and shadow, dream and reality, humanity and nature, consciousness and the unconscious, life and death.
In myths and folktales, humans, animals, plants, and even natural phenomena transcend their boundaries, transforming and at times merging into a single being. Like dreams themselves, they are able to exist while embracing contradiction.
Such images also appear within Scenery in Dim Light. Each landscape is gently connected to the next, gradually forming new stories.
About the Works
This body of work was created from an interest in mythology, fairy tales, novels, and children’s literature, and from a desire to depict the boundaries where dream and reality intermingle within those worlds.
Different beings and places overlap, becoming a single image while still holding contradictions.
By connecting these fragments, I wanted to see the story that would emerge.
